Over two years in the making, locally owned Li Asian Cuisine is the brainchild of Clement Liu and Yu-Hong Li. Partners for over 15 years, they have more than 50 years of experience both working in and running various Asian restaurants from China to Japan, to right here in North Canton, Ohio. Clement, who has worked in local Chinese eateries for last thirty years, felt a little let down by both the quality and authenticity of most local Chinese food. After opening nearly twenty successful food court style Japanese takeout restaurants, he feels that now is the time to bring high quality Asian dining to the area. Yu-Hong was part of the initial generation to open the first postwar dine-in restaurants in China. Since the late 1980’s she has worked in Asian eateries from China to Japan, as well as running Sakki-Q right here in Belden Village Mall.

Both Clement and Yu-Hong’s passion is for preparing great tasting fare, using only the freshest ingredients. They have hired chefs from a variety of Asian backgrounds, are confident in their ability to produce consistent, high quality food. In addition to regional Chinese cuisine, the menu also features popular Japanese, Thai and Mongolian dishes, including freshly made sushi, beautiful bento boxes and succulent Pad Thai. The unique wine list has been designed to pair perfectly with the menu, providing a fully cohesive dining experience. With it’s modern look and classy but minimal decoration, the dining room stands apart from most other Asian restaurants in the area. Warm and inviting, but not too uptight, diners experience a relaxed atmosphere where the exceptional service is second only to the quality of the work being done in the kitchen. Featuring both a full liquor bar and sushi bar, as well as a hibachi style cooking station, the dining room proves to be a treat for all of the senses! Li Asian Cuisine also features a private party room, perfect for meetings, birthday parties, or any other special occasion.
